Save, save and dirty, and give away!

As the new school year approaches, we are dilligently going through clothes and trying on this, nope my love I can see your belly button ( my daughter is so ok with that at 7 -> I just shake my head and say a loud NO) My 4 almost 5 year old is completely oblivious to anything fashion. He thinks everything goes together, God bless his wonderful wife to be one day with amazing fashion and help him to dress! :)

I have been trying to teach my babies a great life lesson because when we release things and bless others, we are opening our hearts for blessings from God. He wants to bless us so much and we just need to show that our way is open to receive. My children are wanting to give away a lot of toys and their clothes because they want to usher in the new.

I feel this is an important lesson for adults too. I know I love to pack rat everything. Do you? Do you have a hard time to give away your items that aunt Frannie gave you 10 years ago for your 25Th birthday and it was just so special it stayed in the box for the whole 10 years in case you needed or pretended to need to use it? What if someone is looking for that particular item? Our memories are in our heart not in our junk. It may be precious but your not using it, why not bless someone with it? God may be trying to give you some blessings but doesn't want to continue to add to the clutter we call precious memories. Everyday is a new day to make memories. Make the memories and add them to your heart! I am going to give a big challenge to my blog readers, I ask that you can try to part with a grocery bag full of clutter and let the blessings start flowing your way!

Have a great Wednesday! :)

Do Not Boast About Tomorrow.....

If you personally know me ( and I hope everyone will soon) you know that I am a big planner! I plan my life out in way advance. I had planned to go to the pool with a friend today, well my two boys Dizzle and Coco ( their nicknames) are not feeling well! :( (pause for awes) Yes it is ok, and to top it off, they have given the yuck to me their hard working mama!
This was a laugh to me this morning as I started to read my daily reading, I have a few bible verses for you today!

Proverbs 27:1 Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.

Proverbs 27:15-16 A quarrelsome wife is like a constant dripping on a rainy day; restraining her is like restraining the wind or grasping oil with the hand.

Proberbs 27:19 As water reflects a face, so a man's heart reflects the man.

Why these verses struck me so greatly I have no clue why. I totally strive every day to be a Proverbs 31 wife. I want to be a woman of intergity and have everyone see that I am a hardworking, trustworthy wife.
The first verse very much spoke to me because I was disappointed that we werent going to go to a pool with a froggy slide! You really have no clue what will happen when you plan today for tomorrow!

The second verse struck with me because as a wife of a Marine, I feel that I have to try to not be quarlsome when my loving husband gets home. I am so 100% in love with my husband. I understand that in every relationship that there is someone who has to give a little or give in to get the fight over. Do we fight? Um yes but are they constant? No!

Now with the third verse, I strive very hard to be a peson of intergity who is loving and honest. I want all my friends to know that no matter what I am always there for them! Now it may be a big bargain but I expect my friends to do the same. I have had a broken heart once or twice when my friends did not recooperate that love and honesty back to me. So for me, I will continue to love and show my loving support to all my friends!

So in conclusion, If you need some help, an ear to lean on, email me! I will try to give you an encouraging word when I can!

Crazy Monday Morning....

You know, it can be very hard to be calm with your children when they are running in three different directions and all wanting to do their own things. It is even worse when they are at the commisary! I totally look like that horrible mom who just doesnt want to control her children. I needed pullups, I just didnt think that a cart warranted a lonely package of pull ups. It sure didnt need my energy. I just loved the pure pittiful looks that the great June Cleaver moms gave me. Oh well anywho, I know my children are amazing and that they were not doing much wrong. They are living in their own world most days, they day dream and have a great life!

I was just watching my daughter make lunch for her and her brothers. She is quite the little helper! My children love to try and do their part for me when my husband leaves. He has been gone since May. My daughter loves to try and cook, clean and fold clothes. She wants to dearly help with laundry. I just keep shaking my head and telling her she has a life time to do it. I mean actually she cant even reach the knobs to turn on the washer. She is a tiny little bit! She weighs 38 lbs and just got out of 5T's. ha ha ha

I am just thankful that God blessed me with amazing children who love and are eager to help. If you are a mom, hug you children, They are blessings straight from God himself! :)

Welcome!

Hi! Welcome to my first post! I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Sonia. I am a mother of 3 beautiful children. We have 2 boys ages 4 ( almost 5) and 2. We have one daughter who is 7 going on 30!

I am married to a Marine. We live in California. We are transplanted from the great state of Texas. We are trying to make the best of a not so great situation.

I have been a Christian for 19 years. My walk has not always been great or close with Jesus. Sometimes that happens with younger people, has that ever happend to you? We recently, in Febuary, started to go back to church. We found an amazing church that just took us in with open arms. I feel it is so important to get our children in a loving church family where they feel the love of Jesus.

So this blog will be about the daily adventures of my family, the craziness we endure and our walk with the all mighty Jesus. I hope to be able to post recipes, craft projects, and definetly some scriptures that really speak to me. If there is anything that you might want me to post please let me know! I can't wait to get to know everyone on my new journey!
